ASM1156 is ASMedia’s single chip solution to bridge the USB 3.1 Gen-I to dual SATA interface. It is highly integrated with ASMedia SuperSpeedPlus, SuperSpeed, and High-Speed and SATA self-designed PHYs. ASM1156 supports one USB 3.2 Gen-I ports and two SATA device ports, enabling USB PHY up to 5 Gbps in compliance with USB 3.2 specifications and enabling Serial ATA PHYs up to 6Gbps high speed interface, following Serial ATA Revision 3.2 Specification. ASM1156 integrates ASMedia’s proprietary HydraTek technology, supporting JBOD and Clone with low power and high efficiency operation. ASM1156 is useful for USB to SATA port expansion and performance boost, not only for internal design but also for external storage application.

ASM225CM is the latest generation of ASMedia’s single chip solution, bridging the USB3.2 to Serial ATA host interface with highly integrated SuperSpeed, High Speed, SATA 1.5/3.0/6.0 Gbps ASMedia self-designed PHYs as well as built-in CC logic circuit enabling reversible USB cable orientation and direction. Along with excellent compatibility with USB3.2 hosts and SATA devices, ASM225CM utilizes advanced process technology to optimize the chip power consumption. ASM1153E is the ASMedia third generation single chip solution, bridging the USB3.2 Gen1 to Serial SATA host interface with highly integrated SuperSpeed USB3.2 Gen1, High Speed USDB2.0 and SATA1.5/3.0/6.0 Gbps ASMedia self -designed PHYs. Along with excellent compatibility with USB3.2 host and SATA device, ASM1153E uses advanced process technology to optimize the chip power consumption. Furthermore, it is also pit-to-pin backward compatible with existing ASM1053.
